第四回

本學年最後一次「博群帶你入社區」將於下月舉行。參加者將到訪位於屯門的鄉師自然學校,除參觀校園外,亦會走進課室,體驗該校學生之日常學習生活。

鄉師自然學校自然協會於 2007 年創辦,乃本港首間提倡「體驗式自然教育」、奉行綠色生活價值的非主流私立小學。該校實踐情意自然教育、提倡以人為本和自主自覺學習。

第三回


本年度第三次「博群帶你入社區」將於下月舉行。參加者將隨「愛同行」的「少數族裔文化大使」走進元朗少數族裔社區,了解該社群來港後的生活變遷,以及他們在語言不通的環境下所面對的各種障礙。


「愛同行」乃一提倡多元文化教育之社會企業,旨在提升大眾對少數族裔文化的認識,從而建立共融社會。

第二回


繼上回踏足天水圍,本年度第二次「博群帶你入社區」活動將於長沙灣舉行。參加的中大同學會到訪該區的非牟利機構 ——「香港傷健協會」,化身輪椅使用者,親身體驗輪椅人士日常生活中遇到的困難,並檢視區內的無障礙設施。


香港傷健協會」以推廣傷健共融為宗旨,除提供復康服務、就業機會及社區支援予傷殘人士外,亦重視教育工作,透過舉辦各式活動如共融講座及社區研究,向大眾宣揚傷健共融的理念。是次活動詳情如下:

第一回


本年度第一次「博群帶你入社區」快將舉行。是次到訪的社區爲天水圍,參加的中大同學可認識該區協作平台「天姿作圍」之運作,並跟其成員一起製作藍染手帕和布袋,聆聽她們的經驗。


「天姿作圍」由一群居住天水圍的基層婦女組成,旨在結合居民的智慧與技能,創造一個可持續發展的社區經濟系統。活動詳情如下:

4th Session

The final session of A Walk in Community with I·CARE in this academic year will take place next month. Participants will visit RTC Gaia School at Tuen Mun through a campus tour and first-hand participation in their classes in order to experience the daily school life of the students.

RTC Gaia School was founded by Gaia Association in 2007. Being the first of its kind in Hong Kong, this non-mainstream private primary school advocates “experiential nature education” and upholds the value of green living. It adopts a people-oriented approach to offer affective nature education and cultivate responsible and autonomous learning.

You are invited to join this activity with details as follows:

3rd session

The 3rd session of A Walk in Community with I·CARE in this academic year will take place next month. Participants will be led by the "Ethnic Minority Cultural Ambassadors" from WEDO GLOBAL to visit the ethnic minority community in Yuen Long. They will get to know how the daily life of this community has changed since their immigration to Hong Kong and the difficulties they have been encountering due to language barrier.


WEDO GLOBAL is a social enterprise which advocates multi-cultural education to enhance public's understanding of the culture of ethnic minorities, thus encouraging social integration. Details of the activity are as follows, you are welcome to join it.


Date: 16 March 2019 (Saturday)

Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Language: Cantonese (Supplemented with English)

Quota: 15 (on a first-come-first-served basis)

Fee: Free of charge


 
2nd session

Subsequent to the last trip at Tin Shui Wai, the 2nd session of A Walk in Community with I·CARE in this academic year will take place in Cheung Sha Wan. Participating CUHK students will visit Hong Kong PHAB Association to experience the daily challenges encountered by wheelchair users and review the barrier-free access facilities in the community.


The Hong Kong PHAB Association is a non-governmental organisation which strives for promoting integration of physically handicapped and able-bodied. Apart from offering rehabilitation services, employment opportunities and community support to people with physical disabilities, the Association also organises workshops and community research activities to promote their belief and work to the general public. Details of the activity are as follows:

1st session

The 1st session of “A Walk in Community with I·CARE” in this academic year will take place soon.  The participating CUHK students will visit Tin Zi Zok Wai, a community-based cooperation platform located at Tin Shui Wai, to learn about its daily operation and to collaborate with its members to produce indigo-dyed handkerchiefs and cotton bags.


Tin Zi Zok Wai is formed by a group of women from the grassroots and aims to make use of their own skills and experience to create a sustainable economic system in the community.  Details of the activity are as follows:
