*SideBySide is dedicated to standing side by side with excluded individuals, providing unwavering support, understanding, and kindness to help them regain a sense of belonging. Their services encompass Social Rehabilitation, Mental Wellness, Competency Development, Community Education, Cultural Inclusion, and Community Connection, with the ultimate goal of promoting social inclusion and offering guidance and acceptance for released prisoners.
*The Human Library is an innovative concept that aims to break down stereotypes and promote understanding through one-on-one conversations. Instead of borrowing books, participants have the opportunity to "borrow" people who have faced various forms of discrimination, prejudice, or unique life experiences. These individuals, known as "human books," share their personal stories, providing readers with the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and gain insights into different perspectives.
We look forward to embarking on this meaningful journey with you and creating a positive impact in our community. For enquiries, please contact Ms. Fion Lee from the Office of Student Affairs at (852) 3943 1595 (phone) or fion.lee@cuhk.edu.hk (email).
