The I·CARE Achievers Programme (IAP) is committed to promote various character strengths and life-values through a wide range of experiential learning activities to enhance self-awareness and positive values of students.
In 2023-24, IAP aims to deepen its impact within the CUHK community through a series of events. With the theme of “Unlock Your Potential with Self-Transcendence”, the activities are designed to highlight 3 Character Strengths associated with the virtue of Transcendence, which represents qualities that connect students to the larger world and give life a greater sense of purpose:

*Return coach service from the University Station to the destination will be arranged.
Enrollment Details
The enrollment for the event is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Except webinars and seminars, a deposit of HK$100 will be charged for all events to secure your registration.
It will be fully refunded after the successful completion of all activities in IAP 2023-24 and the required documents are submitted by the participants.
The refundable deposit will be accepted only via bank-in service. Please refer to the registration link for bank details.
For FPS or e-banking users, please screen capture the transaction page and the following items shall be appeared on the bank-in slip:

If the deposit is submitted through a cash-deposit machine, please submit the scanned bank-in slip via the enrollment form, and submit the original slip to Wong Foo Yuan Building Rm 501. Please make sure your full name has been written behind the slip.
Participants are required to provide your bank account number for deposit refund through the enrollment form. Please make sure the details provided are accurate and correct.
The deposit of all IAP activities will be refunded after the completion of all activities stated on the website. It takes at least one month to process the refund procedures.
Refundable deposit will not be refunded if participants are absent or fail to submit the required documents.
Before the event, a reminder will be sent to the enrolled participants for their preparation. Some activities required participants to bring their own equipment for their better experience

Webinar - The Beauty of Nature in HK
Introduction
The webinar will be co-hosted by the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society. Experienced guide will introduce different birds near CUHK, and showcase the beauty of Hong Kong's fishpond ecosystems and the diverse birdlife. Our goal is to inspire students to explore and appreciate the beautiful wildlife that surrounds us.

The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society is an environmental non-governmental organization dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitats in Hong Kong, a territory on the southern coast of China. It is a BirdLife International affiliated organization.
Seminar–Humor, Creativity and Positivity
Introduction
We are pleased to invite Mr. Ernest Poon Chung Hau, a member of Trial and Error (試當真), to share his personal journey in content creation and his passion for the industry with CUHK students. He will discuss his evolution from a YouTuber in 2016 to becoming a professional creative artist, providing insights into how positive value drove him to pursue his career path.

Trial & Error (試當真) is a Hong Kong online media production company that produces online comedy shorts. The name of the channel comes from the film industry's jargon "try it out". This means no rehearsal require before shooting, in order to film fresh products.
Positive Meditation & Yoga
Introduction
Through sitting, breathing, and mindfully practicing yoga, not only could we increase our physical flexibility, but it also provides a restorative yet reflective space for mind. This is an inward experience to release stress and find ease in the body and mind. Suitable for beginners to all levels.
Co-organizer
Ms. Charlotte Lam is a Yoga and Mindfulness Trainer from Muk Muk Originals Limited. She is specialized in integrating mindfulness practice into the classroom from static meditation to dynamic practice. This training session aims to create a peaceful and comfortable practice atmosphere, and intended to provide students an opportunity to “communicate with your body and soul”.

IAP M+ Art Museum Aesthetics Tour
Introduction
Led by a M+ Curator, the tour will cover M+’s vision, features of the museum building, and key objects on view in the galleries, as well as the key works on view in the galleries of General Admission. This guided visit encourages participants to make connections with the collection and form a better understanding of visual culture.

M+ is a museum of visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. It exhibits twentieth and twenty-first century visual culture encompassing visual art, design and architecture, and moving image.
IAP Mindful Tsz Shan Monastery Visit and Forest Therapy
Introduction
Our Tsz Shan Monastery Visit and Forest Therapy session is designed to offer participants a secure, comfortable, and relax experience. It aims to deepen understanding of Buddhist philosophy and its positive values to improve individual well-being. Additionally, by engaging with the forest environment, we intend to awaken the five senses, encouraging participants to perceive the world through a refreshed perspective.

Tsz Shan Monastery is a Chinese Buddhist monastery established for the preservation of the inheritance of the Dharma preached by Sakyamuni Buddha. Tsz Shan Institute is the Research and Learning Division of Tsz Shan Monastery. Bridging theory and practice, to provide systematic and comprehensive Dharma education to people of all ages, levels of education, cultures, and professional backgrounds.

IAP Singing Bowl Experience
Introduction
Singing bowl is a unique form of sound therapy from the Himalayas. The unique frequencies and vibrations could penetrate the body, quickly balance our nervous system, and enter a deep state of rest. It can also clear blockages in the body and Qi (energy), regulate emotions, and achieve physical and mental healing.
Co-organizer
Vijnana is an integrative self-therapy center that combines psychotherapy, meditation, and physical and mental exercises. This training session aims to use different methods to help students regain control over their physical and mental health, and achieve physical, mental, and spiritual freedom.

IAP Stand up-Comedy Show – Happiness in Daily Life
Introduction
Stand-up comedy is a comedy performance for a live audience in which the performer addresses the audience from a stage. We are honored to invite two experienced comedians Mr. Mahbubani Vivek and Mr. Tim Chan from Hall of Laughs (爆笑館) to perform at CUHK with the theme of "Happiness in Everyday Life". We aim to promote a positive attitude. An interaction session will be followed that aims to allow students to learn how to a live with positive attitude.

Hall of Laughs (爆笑館) is a famous stand-up comedy performance group in Hong Kong who dedicated to promote comedy culture. It has performed in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne and other places.
