Sharing Sessions of Social Service Projects Scheme 2023-24


“Echoes of Life” - Sharing Session on Understanding Life and Death Education


Life is a cycle, what insights could we gain from death? In the face of the processes of birth, aging, illness, and death, how could we break through the fear and taboo surrounding death and establish a healthy perspective on life and death? What strategies should be employed in planning life and death education services? The I·CARE Social Service Projects Scheme of this Centre is pleased to have invited Mr. Rocky Tsing, Director of The Comfort Care Concern Group* to share with participants his experience in providing counselling services to terminally ill patients and bereavement support and explaining strategies for planning life and death education work through involving elements like video, song and Q&A game. Details are as follows:

The I·CARE Social Service Projects Scheme encourages students to organise and implement self-initiated social services. Besides funding support to these projects, training activities are conducted for applicants for the subsidies of each round to equip them with competence in actualising their ideas. * The Comfort Care Concern Group is a non-government subsidised charitable organisation that has been serving Hong Kong since 1987. It aims to provide comfort and support to terminally ill patients, enabling them to journey through life with dignity. The organisation also assists bereaved individuals in bidding farewell to their loved ones, helping them regain confidence and rebuild their lives, ultimately living a fulfilling future.
